Luckily, in my MAIP experience, I was placed in Atlanta, Georgia. Since I am interning for J. Walter Thompson, that makes me part of Advertising for Change, which is an organization run by four of the biggest agencies in Atlanta. These agenceis are J. Walter Thomposon, Fitzgerald & Co, 22 Squared, and Moxie. As part of this program, once a week, we rotate from agency to agency to learn about the other companies and get a feel for how different places work and create. Beside getting to know the different companies, we will be taking part in a project where we help create a campaign for a non-profit organization here in Atlanta to help bring awareness to their cause. On this day in particular we were getting to know the Fitz & Co offices. I was blown away by the space they work in every day. As someone who’s first love was Interior Design, I can never simply enter a space. The entire expereince of it will always be something I pay special attention to. The employees at Fitz & Co were extremely welcoming and the entire space was done with this agency in mind. As it used to be an old butchering plant, the meeting rooms are all named after cuts of meat to call back to the building’s roots. The spaces are made to encourage creativity and teamwork and it was great to be able to experience it.
